Made with dried sardines, bonito flakes, dried mackerel flakes, shiitake mushrooms and kelp, it brings together layers of savoury ocean flavour, earthy mushroom depth and gentle kelp umami.


Each sachet is wrapped in high quality unbleached Japanese paper, so you can make beautiful dashi at home with ease. Simply steep in hot water, then use the broth for miso soup, noodle soup, hot pot, rice dishes, sauces, stews or everyday cooking.


Chef’s tip: Use this dashi as the base for miso soup with our White Miso for a gentle, comforting bowl, or with Brown Rice Miso for a deeper, richer flavour.
