Tamari Koji is one of our market and selected retailer favourites. It is made by fermenting tamari with koji, creating a rich, deeply savoury seasoning that adds beautiful umami to everyday meals.
Tamari is similar to soy sauce, but usually has a deeper, smoother flavour and less sharp saltiness. When combined with koji, it becomes even more rounded, aromatic and full of natural depth.
Use it as a dipping sauce, marinade, finishing sauce, or a simple way to add savoury richness to rice bowls, noodles, tofu, eggs, vegetables, fish, chicken or grilled meats.
Chef’s tip: Drizzle over avocado, soft boiled eggs or hot rice for a quick Japanese inspired bowl, or use it to marinate chicken, salmon or tofu before cooking.Available at our weekend markets and selected retailers.
